Last night called for a special treat…so Qoola is was! After reading about it on several blogs (quelle surprise, eh!), it was time for the real taste test. Driving north on Denman Street, I past the Marble Slab, with it’s typical lineup outside the store, down the street and around the corner…and then POW! Qoola appears! Without the same fan-fare as Marble Slab, but also without the same caloric intake.
Qoola prides themselves on natural, local, sustainable and delicious ingredients. It is simple and clean, kinda trendy-zen like…with free wi-fi. So naturally, the two fabulous chic-hippies tell me first to sign up to follow them on twitter (awesome!) – for discount codes! They then proceed to share their new delicious flavors: Green Tea and Cran-Apple and samplings of their exotic toppings: moshi – some sort of rice made treat.
I order two different cups to add some variety to the taste test experience with Mr.Fab! One choco yog with strawberries and one green tea yog with raspberries. In to-go containers…and then speed home. (Don’t want it to melt, yo!)
