RECAP: 25in25!

Today is the eve of my Birthday (and i LOVE birthdays… & lists!). A year ago, I created a list of 25in25 and I am comin’ back to report. Not everything was crossed off, but what an awesome year it has been…

1. Create TeamFabulous custom greeting cards and send them as often as possible. Custom TeamFab were not created, but other fab customer creations are now purchased monthly here and new to the repetoire are WhiteHotTruth’s gratitude cards!

2. Launch stephaniecorkerirwin.com! CHECK! Thanks for visiting:)

3. Knit something big & chunky with beautiful wool using big, fat, wooden needles, of course. CHECK! It looked somethin’ like this.

4. Learn to grow edible pots of goodness in my garden. CHECK-ish. Seeds were planted, greenery grew…but the tomatoes didn’t turn red. I did have a pot of mint-gone-wild though, does that count?! :)

5. Finish Ironman Canada, with a smile:)  Heck-Yes-CHECK! Evidence:

6. Cook more delicious home cooked meals. Yikes – don’t think I really nailed this one -but my man certainly did!

7. Be a die-hard follower of local Farmer’s Markets. Oh yes! CHECK! This day was definitely my fav.

8. Yoga…do more of it! And then learn Acro-Yoga. Yoga seems to be a post IMC stretching exercise! G-Unit & I tried acro-yoga, once. Maybe we need to try it again girlfriend?

9. Surround myself by fabulous friends (only!) who always see the glass 3/4 FULL! CHECK – i know i’m insanely lucky!

10. Team Fabulous does African Safari feat. Photographer DouglasJames! Sadly, no check. But this one is gettin’ rolled over to next year baby…

11. Start my Vision Book. Now. CHECK!

12. Blog, daily with joy. CHECK! While not daily, it was done…with great joy!

13. Over-haul my wardrobe to house only fabulous pieces that make me feel great. CHECK! I feel Fabulous.

14. Establish a GenY Board of Directors. This didn’t happen, officially. But do GenY’s make anything official?

15. Jet-set off to Hawaii for a quick, intense, training/surfing week pre-Ironman. (Note: Doug is the surfer!) Another sad, no. Though I am feeling the Aloha in our future and it feels goood!

16. Get in my groove with 5AM wake up calls and an endorphin rush before work. CHECK! Everyday baby, much against my man’s schegrin!

17. Lower my resting heart rate. CHECK! The doc says I’m healthy!

18. Learn the ways of “Nutrition For Life”. Learning & Practicing are two different tasks! But thanks to the Nutrition Goddess Karen, progress is deffo being made.

19. Be open and committed to constantly improving our green ways of life.  CHECK! Our fav products can be found here.

20. Enhance our real estate – location is up for discussion/debate (with love!). The big R word impacted this decision a wee bit, but we did happily agree that the North Shore is a place we both love and will move when the time is right. Now just wasn’t right…

21. Surprise and Delight – my husband, my family, my friends, my boss. Umm…maybe I can’t be the one to comment on this…

22. Create my sanctuary of innovative, creative thinking! (An “Office”). CHECK!

23. Purchase a green-friendly mode of transport with a custom license plate that reads: BE FAB. Does Doug’s new ride count? And there is no “BE FAB” plate, but there is an “IMC Athlete 2009″ sticker on scoot!

24. Determine my purpose in life…it may have something to do with my fascination and admiration for budding, passionate, (female) entrepreneurs! CHECK baby CHECK! Watch out for the launch Feb14th!

25. Simplify. Life. CHECK. It’s simple; simply bliss.
