A drum circle has been on my BucketList for quite a while. I just loved the idea of pounding in unison to make something beautiful! And wouldn’t ya know – I walked into a ballroom at the Four Seasons during the lululemon Manger’s Conference to see a stage of drummers with a wee drum at everyone’s seat. A DREAM COME TRUE, yet again!

For a solid hour: we beat, we sang, we snapped and clapped; we cheered, we listened, we laughed – we made music, together. It was absolutely hilarious, totally fun and even inspired some sweat-flow! Our leader told us that the sounds of a drum travel faster in Africa than information travels on high speed internet – so it was therefore a tool of communication. He told us that music brings people together to laugh and to dance – making it a gift. He told us that drumming gives us a voice – no matter how big or how small – as a universal language that we all can speak.
