When was the last time you drove an hour for groceries? My Man thought I was rather redonkulous but this wasn’t just ANY grocery trip – it was a TRADER JOE’s trip and worth the drive!
Lucky for him, he reaps the benefits of my labor: My Top Five Finds at Trader Joe’s…
1. Trail Mix – any variety – substantial, delicious, perfectly “mixed”. My fav was the “Wasabi WOW“: sweet & salty with a kick!
2. Organic Animal Crackers. Inspired by 2yr old Ben Watts, these are not loaded with sugar (fact) and also far from cardboard.
3. Thai Shrimp Gyozas! Hand made and imported from Thailand, I’m not the only raving fan!
4. California Veggie Burgers….rock.
5. Tea Tree Tingle with Peppermint Shampoo & Conditioner – $2.99 and AMAZING! (I’ll even go so far as to say it beats Aveda! And it certainly beats buying it off amazon apparently.)
Feel free to bring me any of the above when you are on the other side of the border! $4 bottles of wine? Who knew! $0.50 energy bars – don’t mind if i do! Tell me friends, what are your TJ Favorites?

My TJ favorites are:
- (small) yellow onions (you can’t get anything but the GIANT onions anywhere else)
- white mushrooms (they’re $0.50-0.90 less than at the supermarket)
- Hawaiian Salt & Vinegar Chips (sorry, not healthy, but soooooo good!)
- Gerolsteiner (German sparkling water – keeps the bubbles much longer than any other sparkling water!)
Green Plant Drink
Pita Crackers (puts the ‘crack’ in cracker)
Green Fin White Table Wine (I’m a sucker for anything with a Woodie & a surfboard on it)
Raw nuts of all kinds!
